Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy in which the patient is induced into a hypnotic state for the benefit of heightened suggestibility and responsiveness. The therapy may involve “direct suggestion”to the patient in attempt to remove the symptom. Hypnotherapy is promoted for the treatment of various emotional and physiological conditions such anxiety, addiction, depression, surgical recovery enhancement and gastrointestinal problems.
